Māori language

This year we have been learning to ask and answer Māori questions to do with things like months, weather and days of the week. Today I'm going to share these questions with you. You could have a go answering them.

Ko te aha te  inanahi?        What was the day yesterday?
Ko te Rāhina te  inanahi.   The day was Monday yesterday.

Ko te aha tēnei ?              What's the day today?  
Ko te Rātū tēnei .              It is Tuesday today.                                                                                                 
Ko te aha te  āpōpō?        What's the day tomorrow?   
Ko te Rāapa te  āpōpō. It is Wednesday tomorrow.

Rāhina=Monday
Rātū=Tuesday
Rāapa=Wednesday
Rāpare=Thursday
Rāmere=Friday
Rāhoroi=Saturday
Rātapu=Sunday

E hia ō tau? What's your age 
9 years or less:          E          ōku tau.    I am ____ years old. 
10 years or more:                 ōku tau.      I am ____ years old.
