This year we have been learning to ask and answer Māori questions to do with things like months, weather and days of the week. Today I'm going to share these questions with you. You could have a go answering them.
Ko te aha te rā inanahi? What was the day yesterday?
Ko te Rāhina te rā inanahi. The day was Monday yesterday.
Ko te aha tēnei rā? What's the day today?
Ko te Rātū tēnei rā. It is Tuesday today.
Ko te aha te rā āpōpō? What's the day tomorrow?
Ko te Rāapa te rā āpōpō. It is Wednesday tomorrow.
Days of the week
Rāhina=Monday
Rātū=Tuesday
Rāapa=Wednesday
Rāpare=Thursday
Rāmere=Friday
Rāhoroi=Saturday
Rātapu=Sunday

9 years or less: E ōku tau. I am ____ years old.
